A Year In Review – 2015 Cumulative Bullion Sales
With the New Year being ushered in, and 2015 behind us, we can now look back on the official bullion sales figures for this past year. The United States Mint released the cumulative bullion sales totals and 2015 was a behemoth.
The previous record for American Silver Eagle sales was 2014 with a total of 44,006,000 coins sold. 2015 bested that record by almost 3 million coins.

The 2015 American Gold Buffalo enjoyed a very healthy year as well with 220,500 Gold Buffalos sold. The yearly sales clocked in with a second place finish and even broke a monthly sales record for December with 9,200 pieces sold. This is the most gold coins ever sold by the U.S. Mint in December.
